National community service award received from President Barack Obama recognizing a community service project of more than 120 hours constructing and stocking a clothes closet at Monroe Middle School in which impoverished students could “shop” at no charge for clothing and personal items in a setting resembling a retail store to meet their needs and build self-esteem.

Teacher of the Year Nominee, 2024 & 2025
A nominee for Walled Lake Consolidated Schools Teacher of the Year in 2024 and 2025. These were the first two years teaching in the district. Grant was ineligible to receive the award as he had not been teaching for more than five years in the district.
